Creating Entrepreneurs in the Philippines
- 0 Comments
Recently I spent a week in the Philippines teaching at the Academy for Creating Enterprise in Cebu City. This wonderful non for profit foundation was started by a good friend Steve Gibson and his wife Betty. Steve and Betty spent 18 months in the Philippines creating the academy and each 8 weeks, 30 students attend the academy and learn how to become entrepreneurs and build Microenterprise businesses.
Many successful businesses have been launched by graduates with the hope that jobs and real income can be created. Unemployment is a big problem in the Philippines, so running your own business becomes a necessity for many.
Hats off to Steve and his team for the wonderful work they do to promote entrepreneurship and hope, motivation, education, and knowledge needed to plan, start, and build Microenterprise businesses.
